Tsuru for Solidarity, as an abolitionist organization, believes that no human should be incarcerated. Many immigrants face a particular double jeopardy when going through the Department of Correction (DOC) system and ending up in the hands of ICE when they are released. TFS has been collaborating with local and national organizations to strategize on how to defend refugees and immigrants with criminal convictions prioritized by ICE for deportation across the country.
