Education & Advocacy

The Education & Advocacy Committee plans and facilitates virtual, public-facing educational programs, such as book talks by academic and community experts, as well as reading groups and “how-to” workshops that focus on the skills and information that can help you advocate and organize. It also supports legislative advocacy by hosting call-ins and providing research and narrative-building support for Congressional visits.

Radical Readings

After the 2020 uprising, we saw the need to educate and continue to deepen our political analysis. We understand “abolition” as practice, were we must continue to learn. Watch some of our education lectures to learn about topic such as; the history of immigration detention; healing and nonviolent direct action; the surveillance state and the War on Terror. All of these educational webinars can be viewed here on youtube channel,  as well as other educational social justice movement related videos!
